In the event that we discover an item is unavailable when you order we will inform you as soon as possible. An alternative or full refund will be offered if money has already been paid.
Most items are available for immediate posting however special request or personalised items will require a lead-time, and we will inform you when delivery can be expected.
Special request and customised items will require advance payment.
Alice Maud will only collect details about you when you place an order. These will include your name and address, your email address, and various other details necessary to complete a payment and fulfil your order. We do not hold any payment card details.
Our returns and refunds policy is in accordance with the EU Distance Selling Directive which came into force in October 2000 and is part of UK law under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, and as updated subsequently.
You may cancel your order at any time before it has been dispatched and will be given a refund less a 5% admin fee to cover card charges.
If customised or personalised items have been ordered these will not be refunded.
To ensure that every transaction is 100% safe, all credit card processing is done directly via the Paypal payment service. Your credit card details do not pass through our website at all. If you pay over the phone, your card details are entered directly onto a card machine and not retained by us.
If any unauthorised payments are made on or to our site using your card you must notify your card provider immediately and on informing us we will provide a refund.
Alice Maud never pass any of the information we collect to other parties unless required under UK law.
Product colours, materials and designs may vary slightly from the image in Pirates and Princesses or Limited ranges, due to the availability of the materials used and the fact they are hand made.
Alice Maud products are made by hand to high standards and are checked before despatch. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase* you may return it within 7 days. It must be in its original condition and packaging. A full refund will be applied for the purchase less a 10% admin fee.
For Dolls selected from the on-line shop, you may cancel your order at any time before it has been dispatched and will be given a refund less 5% card transaction fees
Where items are faulty a full refund will be given or alternative items offered.
If an incorrect or incomplete delivery address is specified, resulting in failed delivery, redelivery can be arranged (subject to a redelivery cost) or a refund can be issued less delivery costs.
Proof of posting when returning items is not proof of receipt by us. We recommend you use Royal Mail Recorded or Special Delivery. Please contact us prior to returning any item.

*If your Doll is personalised (e.g. special embrodery added or your own fabric has been used), there is no refund available, unless the item is defective. But if you do find an issue with your customised or personlaised Alice doll we will endeavour to help, please contact us as soon as possible
